Title: Bisquick Equivalent

9cSifted flour
1/3cBaking powder
1c+ 2 tbsp. powdered milk
2tbMilk; powdered
4tsSalt
1 3/4cVegetable shortening

Sift all dry ingredients. Cut shortening into flour till mixture ressembles coarse cornmeal. Store, well covered, in cool, dry place. Makes: 13 cups Use for pancakes, waffles, biscuits or anything else for which you would use packaged biscuit mix. Source: _Pure and Simple_ by Marion Burrows 3/4 c small-curd cottage cheese 1/3 c grated parmesan 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp oregano 1/2 tsp basil 1 can tomato paste (6 oz.) 1 c milk 2 eggs 2/3 c Bisquick or similar baking mix 1/4 tsp pepper 1 1/2 c chicken, cooked & diced 1 1/4 c shredded mozzarella

Heat oven to 400F. Grease 10-inch pie plate. Layer cottage cheese and parmesan in pie plate. Mix chicken and 1/2 cup mozzarella, and the garlic powder, oregano, basil and tomato paste; spoon over parmesan.

Beat remaining ingredients in blender on high for 15 seconds, or by hand for 1 min., until smooth. Pour into pie plate and bake 30 minutes. Top with remaining mozzarella. Bake 5-8 minutes longer or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

Cool 5 min. before serving.
